The Daily Freeman wrote, "The Kingston Housing Authority is an
organization with a proud
history and enviable reputation." In 1948 its dream of quality,
affordable housing for area citizens was formalized. In 1953,
it was finally put into action with the opening of Colonial
Gardens. Over the years, hundreds of apartments were constructed
and have provided the foundations for family and elderly communities
around Kingston.
Today we manage seven different communities serving more than 1,500 residents, with two more communities on
the way. Were proud to note that Colonial Gardens looks
as good today as it did when it opened 50 years ago and stands
as a testament to what affordable housing can and should be
in todays complex world.
