The work of the Kingston Housing Authority would not be possible
without the premier development programs of the Federal and State governments.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a federal
level agency that exists to increase homeownership, support community
development, and increase access to affordable housing free from
discrimination. HUD's mission of service to others is built on
compassion coupled with accountability. Its agenda is broad and
covers every aspect of single-family and multi-family housing, the
special needs of vulnerable citizens and urban and economic development.
New York State's Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR)
seeks to make New York State a better place to live by supporting
community efforts to preserve and expand affordable housing,
homeownership and economic opportunities, and by providing equal
access to safe, decent and affordable housing. This dedicated group
of professionals builds partnerships, focuses on customer service and
seeks innovative solutions to housing needs.
